Musketier — Standard Recruit

Entry-level impression — every new member starts here.

  • Tunic (choose per portrayed year): M1907/10 or M1907/14 Feldrock (early war), or M1915 Feldbluse (mid-war) — feldgrau wool. Members may also choose to wear an older pattern tunic than their portrayed year strictly requires, since older stock remained in use throughout the war
  • Trousers (choose per portrayed year): Feldhose M1907, M1915, or M1917 pattern, feldgrau, red piping. As with tunics, wearing an older trouser pattern is always acceptable, since these remained in service alongside newer issue
  • Marschstiefel or puttees + ankle boots
  • M1916/M1918 Stahlhelm, correct liner
  • Soldbuch reproduction + persona service history (mandatory, all ranks)
  • Shoulder straps, regimental number "29" (mandatory, all ranks) Piping: red (1914–15) transitioning to white (1916–18)
  • Shoulder strap retaining button, numbered for company (e.g., "7" for 7. Kompanie) — a separate small button from the regimental number shown on the strap itself. Optional: later in the war this feature was often omitted, with soldiers commonly using the standard crown button in its place
  • Lederkoppel (belt)
  • Brotbeutel-Trageriemen (bread bag strap)
  • Patronentaschen (ammo pouches)
  • Brotbeutel (bread bag)
  • Feldflasche (canteen)
  • Seitengewehr (bayonet)
  • Spaten (entrenching tool)
  • Gas mask canister (1916+)
