Code of Conduct

Ehre & Anstand

This unit exists for historical research and remembrance. The following expectations apply to all members, at events and in our online community.

I.R. 29Kodex
01

Historical Portrayal, Not Endorsement

We portray a historical infantry regiment as a matter of research and remembrance. We do not glorify war, and we do not tolerate the use of this hobby as cover for extremist, nationalist, or hateful ideology of any kind, historical or modern. Nazi-era symbols, salutes, or rhetoric have no place in this unit, at any event, regardless of the era we portray — our impression period (1916–1918) predates the Nazi party entirely.

02

Respect for Fellow Reenactors and the Public

Harassment, discrimination, or hateful conduct toward any person — fellow members, other units, or the public at events — will not be tolerated. This includes conduct based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.

03

Safety First

All event safety rules — regarding blank-firing weapons, bayonets, and any other equipment — must be followed without exception. Anyone behaving unsafely at an event may be asked to stand down or leave, regardless of rank or seniority in the unit.

04

Research Integrity

We represent our impressions and the regiment's history honestly. We don't invent false claims about decorations, actions, or lineage, and we correct mistakes when better sources come to light.

05

Kindness to New Members

Everyone starts somewhere. Members are expected to mentor newer recruits patiently and avoid gatekeeping based on kit completeness or experience level.

Enforcement: violations of this code may result in a conversation, a formal warning, or removal from the unit, depending on severity. As a founding unit this policy will be refined as we grow — feedback from members is welcome.
